
- ▢ 3 potato / aloo (boiled & mashed)
- ▢ ½ cup bread crumbs
- ▢ 2 tbsp corn flour
- ▢ ¾ tsp garlic paste
- ▢ 1 tsp chilli flakes
- ▢ 1 tsp mixed herbs
- ▢ ¼ tsp pepper powder
- ▢ ½ tsp salt
for corn flour slurry:
- ▢ 2 tbsp corn flour
- ▢ 2 tbsp maida / plain flour
- ▢ 1 tsp chilli flakes
- ▢ ½ tsp garlic paste
- ▢ ½ tsp salt
- ▢ ½ cup water
- ▢ other ingredients:
- ▢ 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- ▢ oil for frying
- firstly, in a large bowl take 3 boiled and mashed potato.
- add ½ cup bread crumbs and 2 tbsp corn flour. they help to absorb moisture.
- also, add ¾ tsp garlic paste, 1 tsp chilli flakes, 1 tsp mixed herbs, ¼ tsp pepper powder and ½ tsp salt.
- squeeze and mix well forming a soft dough.
- if the dough is still sticky, add 1 tbsp breadcrumbs and mix well. this helps to absorb moisture. keep aside.
- further, take a small ball sized aloo mixture, and shape into cubes.
- dip in corn flour slurry all over.
- then roll in breadcrumbs. make double coating to get a crispy outer layer.
- now deep fry in hot oil or bake in a preheated oven at 180 degree celcius for 15 minutes.
- stir occasionally, until it turns golden brown and crisp. drain over kitchen paper to remove excess oil.
- finally, enjoy aloo bites / potato bites with tomato sauce.
